Rural Sunset Session

Indianapolis, Indiana

This session was a dream to shoot, I loved that it was in Rural Indiana and during the magial sunset hour! And with the old pick-up truck and the pond behind, it felt like something out of a glossy magazine!

Backtrack to when I first met Brittany a few years ago. We both worked for the House of Representatives. I’m always excited when I get to photograph clients I know because its fun to work with them in such a different dynamic. It’s also awesome that you know them enough to have already broken the ice of what can sometimes be a bit anxious first time meeting for some! I try to keep my vibe casual from the beginning, so everyone feels relaxed from the moment they meet me but every fam is different and you just never know!

When it comes to locations/backgrounds I’m used to shooting in green areas with lots of trees and even water nearby but when Brittany asked me to come out to their home to shoot the session, I had NO idea I’d get so lucky to have this amazing scenery (and TRUCK!) to work with! I was beyond excited to have such a cool place to shoot, and literally in their own backyard 🙂 We also got to have their fur babies come out at the end for some of the last shots to get the whole family in and it was just perfect! From the background, to their on point clothes, to the perfect weather, to the pups! 100% perfect!
